Dedicated to Leadership
Company Leadership
Kindred Healthcare’s senior executives are actively involved in promoting and communicating the important role of our healthcare services. They also serve as representatives of our industry on various national panels. Our executives have testified in Washington, D.C., and they serve on the boards of national trade organizations. They serve in leadership roles on boards and have also been recognized for their leadership and expertise by national associations.
Leadership Development
Kindred has several programs designed to recruit and develop future company leaders.
Executive Fellowship Program
Kindred Healthcare's new Executive Fellowship Program (EFP) has been developing hospital CEOs since February of 2009. As part of the curriculum, Fellows in the program complete division-specific rotation assignments in field locations and they meet together at Kindred's support center three times during the year-long formal program to receive training in interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills. The goal of the EF program is to better prepare facility leaders for the challenges of a fast-paced industry by providing them with practical, hands-on experiences and skill development.
Nurse Leadership Program
There are myriad challenges confronting nurse leaders because of the ever-accelerating pace of change confronting the healthcare industry. Kindred's three-day Nurse Leadership program is designed to provide hands-on, practical tools and resources to help our leaders face these critical, new challenges. In a highly interactive and engaging series of workshops, participants are provided training in interpersonal skills, delegation, performance management, conflict management, team building and leadership.
