Jesse came to Kindred Hospital after a serious motorcycle accident left him with a traumatic brain injury. At Kindred, Jesse regained the ability to breathe on his own and made excellent progress toward regaining the active life he once had. After several weeks, Jesse was able to discharge to an acute rehabilitation unit.

Benjamin, a father of four, was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident and was rushed to the hospital where he received a tracheostomy for breathing assistance and a feeding tube. He was transferred to Kindred Hospital Los Angeles where he worked hard to recover so he could return to his family. After weaning from the ventilator and regaining his ability to eat and speak independently, he was discharged to an acute rehabilitation hospital.

Douglas, an avid world traveler, had his life turned upside down after a tragic motor vehicle accident that left him paraplegic. He developed a chronic wound infection at the site of his injury, requiring several procedures. Following the surgery, he was transferred to Kindred Hospital for advanced wound care and IV antibiotics. After making excellent progress, he was discharged to an acute rehabilitation unit to continue his recovery.

William was shot working as a security guard and required a feeding tube and ventilator for breathing assistance. At Kindred, he worked with respiratory therapy to strengthen his lungs, as well as speech pathology and dieticians to begin speaking and eating again. William gained his independence and was able to sit, stand, and walk before transitioning to an acute rehab center.
