Family Involvement

Family members may meet with your loved one’s clinical team weekly to discuss their condition, progress made and to answer any questions. Your Case Manager can assist you in scheduling these sessions as well as any additional meetings with the clinical team you wish have.

Supporting Your Family Member

Being away from home is difficult and dealing with illness is emotionally demanding. Whether you can respond or not, your loved ones can help keep spirits up by:

  • Family Visits – There is no substitute for the presence of loved ones. We encourage family visits as often as possible, in accordance with our visitation policy.
  • Communication – Share family news. Discuss events at home. Include your loved one when making important decisions.
  • Touch – Frequent hugs, kisses, caresses or hand holding are essential to the human spirit.

Your loved ones’ presence and input into your care make a difference beyond measure.
