At Kindred Hospital Paramount and Kindred Hospital Paramount’s Acute Rehabilitation Unit, Alex underwent physical, occupational, and speech therapy to address self-care, mobility, cognition, and swallowing. Initially unable to stand, he improved steadily. Alex became independent in feeding, dressing, and oral hygiene and could walk over 50 feet with a walker. He was upgraded to a regular diet.
