Thirty years ago, Kindred Hospitals were created with the goal of treating pulmonary compromised patients through specialized care with an emphasis on ventilator weaning. Our clinical capabilities have grown, and today Kindred Hospitals treat patients for a variety of conditions, with the goal of helping them regain function and return home as quickly as their recovery allows.

Our patients benefit from onsite telemetry, diagnostic imaging and lab capabilities. They also receive 24/7 physician oversight from a comprehensive interdisciplinary team of sub-specialists in areas such as pulmonology, infectious disease, nephrology and neurology, as well as comprehensive care that utilizes specialized assessments and innovative interventions to create an individualized plan of treatment based on the patient’s abilities and goals.

Patients in Kindred Hospitals also receive rehabilitation from teams of respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists who have received extensive training.
