Experienced Healthcare and Nursing Leader Katie Gibbs Named CEO of Kindred Hospital North Florida
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Florida (June 16, 2026) – Specialty hospital and nursing leader Katie Gibbs, MSN, BSN, RN, was recently named Chief Executive Officer of Kindred Hospital North Florida, a 58-bed specialty hospital that provides long-term acute care and rehabilitation to medically complex patients.
Gibbs, who started last month, oversees all strategic and business planning, finances, operations, and personnel for Kindred Hospital North Florida. She brings more than a decade of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including in long-term acute care and in-patient rehabilitation, with a strong background in clinical operations, quality improvement, nurse management, and direct patient care.
She most recently served as Director of Operations at VasCare in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she led multi-site clinical operations, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and high-quality patient outcomes.
Prior to that role, Gibbs held several senior leadership positions with PAM Health, including Corporate Director of Clinical Services, where she oversaw clinical performance and regulatory compliance across multiple long-term acute care and rehabilitation hospitals nationwide. She also served as Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Quality Management for PAM Heath Rehabilitation Hospital of Corpus Christi.

At Kindred Hospital North Florida, Gibbs leads a facility that specializes in the treatment of medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization and advanced care, including respiratory therapy, wound care, and rehabilitation services. In addition to providing long-term acute care, Kindred Hospital North Florida operates a 14-room acute rehabilitation unit, which offers inpatient rehabilitation therapy for patients recovering from serious injury or illness, including many who transfer directly from the LTACH.

Gibbs holds the degrees of Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College.
