Former long-time Kindred leader returns, will oversee 20 Kindred Hospitals in six states.

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY (June 22, 2026) – Experienced healthcare operations executive Adam Darvish has been named ScionHealth’s new Senior Vice President of Specialty Hospital Operations for the West Region of its national network of long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs), which includes Kindred Hospitals.

In this role, Darvish will oversee strategic and business operations for ScionHealth’s 20 Kindred Hospitals in California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, and El Paso, Texas. These hospitals provide specialized long-term acute care and rehabilitation services to medically complex patients.

Darvish, who brings more than 25 years of executive healthcare leadership experience, particularly on the West Coast, is returning to Kindred Hospitals, where he previously held numerous senior leadership roles across the legacy Kindred Healthcare organization.

“Adam Darvish’s return to Kindred Hospitals is an exciting moment for our organization, and he is an ideal choice to lead ScionHealth’s West Region,” said Linn Billingsley, President of Specialty Hospitals for ScionHealth. “He brings a deep understanding of our hospitals and our patients, along with a proven record of success both within Kindred and across the broader healthcare landscape. Adam’s longstanding relationships with physicians and healthcare leaders across the West Region, combined with his operational expertise and passion for patient care, position him well to support our hospitals, medical staffs, and leadership teams. We look forward to the leadership, partnership, and strategic vision he will bring to the West Region.”

“I am honored and proud to return to Kindred Hospitals, which has played such a meaningful and formative role in my career,” Darvish said. “Kindred has long stood for excellence in caring for medically complex patients, and I look forward to supporting our patients, caregivers, and leadership teams as we continue delivering high‑quality care and strengthening our impact across the West Region.”

Darvish is a former board member of the California Hospital Association and Hospital Association of Southern California and a former president and current trustee of the United Hospital Association.

Darvish holds the degree of Master of Public Health from UCLA and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical/bioengineering from Rutgers University and Georgia Institute of Technology, respectively.
