Madison's Story of Recovery from Ovarian Cysts and Severe Wounds
When Madison arrived at Kindred Hospital, she required wound care and physical therapy. After working with her interdisciplinary care team, she was able to discharge to an Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.
A Patient Success Story from Kindred Hospital Denver
Madison suffered from a blocked ostomy in her abdomen and cysts on her ovaries, causing pain and vomiting for two weeks. She went to a hospital and received an NG tube and a drain in her hip.
She was transferred to Kindred Hospital Denver to continue her recovery. During a 43-day stay, Madison received wound care, physical therapy and additional support from dietitians, nurses and multiple physicians.
After about five months of dealing with this issue, Madison was nervous but excited to leave the hospital, return to the “real world,” and be back outside.
“Hakuna matata. All the nurses and staff are very kind and very understanding, and they’ve made this stay here a lot more comfortable. This is, without a doubt, one of the best hospitals that I’ve ever been in.”
She was discharged to an acute inpatient rehabilitation facility to continue her recovery.
