Masiu, a fully independent and active individual living in the Dallas Fort Worth area, faced a significant health challenge when he was admitted to a local hospital due to difficulties in breathing. During his initial hospitalization, Masiu experienced severe hypoxia, which necessitated the use of BiPAP support. His treatment plan included antibiotics, bronchodilators, oxygen supplementation, and diuretics. Unfortunately, the extended hospital stay left him physically weak, as he was restricted to bed rest for several weeks, which hindered his mobility and overall strength.
